Warm Zone’s partnership with North Tyneside Council has reached a major milestone by helping its one thousandth North Tyneside resident.
Over the last three years, Warm Zone has helped North Tyneside households to reduce their fuel bills by installing over a thousand energy efficiency measures such as central heating systems, cavity wall and loft insulation and bigger projects such as external wall insulation.
The one thousandth resident to benefit from the partnership is Mrs Margaret Donoghue of Green Lane, Dudley who has had a combi boiler fitted for free to replace her old failing central heating system.
Warm Zone Regional Director David Connor is delighted to have reached this important milestone:
“Achieving this milestone is a powerful example of how effective the Warm Zones partnership has been in North Tyneside in helping ensure many more vulnerable residents can benefit from a warmer, healthier home. When you combine this with all the additional income secured for residents, then this also represents a much needed wider economic and social boost for the Borough. By ensuring that more people can enjoy a warmer home and have more income to be able to afford to pay for their fuel and other bills, then we help reduce pressures (and costs) on the local health service and help boost the local economy, something that we all gain from. We are now building on all this fine partnership work in the months and years to come.”
